I think for RGS, the outstanding academic DSA shortlist, which parents are waiting to hear news about, is Maths, Science and English.

Yes, it's either that (waiting) or all the parents of shortlisted students have suddenly become extremely modest.

RGS shortlist was about this time last year. Good news is they were relatively quick on the CO/WL outcome once all the tests/interviews were done.

Good luck to those who are waiting. It can't be much longer!

Received NJC STEAM Invitation to selection trial today. Any parents can share your child’s past experience on what’s tested or asked?

          Thanks
          Hi Triplekings,

Do you mind sharing your child's AL for all the subjects, and for Math and Science please? Thank you.

It’s via email directly to the parent
Back in 2020, DHS has notified us through the good ol' snail mail on the very last day 😅 It was via email for NUSH (- very on the dot, within their planned timelines) and HCI.

NYGH will notify on 28 July if your child is selected for interview - to be held on 30th July. So nothing is out for now. U can see this info on NYGH website too.

                  Hi SG_KP1,

Can I enquire what is condition of WL? Is it by certain dateline those with CO rejects offer, then WL will stand a chance. And WL will be notified whether being offer or not before PSLE?

While combing through the dsa threads from past years, 99% of the WL will be successfully converted to a CO… haven’t seen of WL not successful… most of the comments given was WL is equivalent to CO, just need to wait… hope this helps…

I wasn’t aware that they will only notify on the 28th, must have missed that part.

WL can gain entry if other COs reject offer. Notification on WL being converted to CO will happen with PSLE Results. I.e. the student will either be informed that they are admitted to WL school or that they need to participate in S1 posting exercise (if WL is not converted).

MOE says that about 50% of WL are converted. However, some schools are known (or believed to) have very high WL conversion rate. Theory would be that the school knows historically how many COs are rejected and they size the WL accordingly.
