There is a new english tuition centre at bishan called https://thelearningtrove.com. Fees are quite reasonable at $900 for 12 lessons. Founder is Sherman Tseng, an ex HOD for english at Ai Tong school, and he also used to teach at Academia in sin ming.

Anyone here can share their experiences with this centre?
Quite interested to know if The Learning Trove also specializes in GEP and High-ability students.

      Block 503 Bishan Street 11
      Unit 01-450

Oh, so the name of the Centre is Learning Trove. I thot it was Learning Cove.

Yes, Sherman Tseng highly recommended. He’s very good with teaching kids grasp all the English elements & concepts esp to improve Synthesis & Transformation. I’m not sure if he now hv special classes to cater for GEP & such, but he is very capable in handling a class of more than 10 pax.

He’s very generous, as previously, my child improve quite rapidly after joining his class & by end of P6, he plonk DS into a Sec 1 class to ‘expose’ him & can juggle btwn the Sec 1 students & DS. DS enjoyed his classes a lot, altho the 1st lesson he happened to join in during his P5 towards year end & Sherman was focussing on the P6s, so DS felt bored & didn’t want to continue after 1st lesson with him. No regrets after I coaxed DS to be patient & give it 3 tries. Just sharing our experiences.

Can anyone elaborate more about his teaching style? How does he help the child to improve?
