I believe that there are no further steps after the interview. You should just be waiting for the results and that's only around Sept (by 12 Sept).

Hi Fattymum,


My DD attended leadership interview at SCGS 2 weeks. If I am not wrong, there were few sessions / days of leadership interview.
DD is s head prefect and got edusave scholarship, echa and eagles at P5 but her grades is AL7.

DD had to let go her position as CCA leader ( she is in the same cca since P1 ) to give others a fair opportunity.
Her school cca starts at P3. But she was handpicked by teachers to join the cca at mid p1.
She is a medallist in 2 sports at NSG this year, she won art competitions ( interschool & national level ), speech award, piano grade 8 and ballet g5 ( not competitive )
She is in British scout since 5 years old ( 7 years experience ) and she organised many community initiatives.

I believe your DD will shine at whichever school she goes. God Bless

If the criteria is head prefect/cca leader, then should get shortlisted. Just hope to get some clarity on shortlisting criteria from community platforms like kiasuparents because the school will not share the reasons.

Selection is really unexplainable. This not only happens to dsa to secondary. It happens to shortlisting of PSC scholarship too. My child's classmate is a Student Council President with GPA4 for all subjects in a TOP school at Bishan. Unfortunately she's not selected.

Hi, for those who were shortlisted for SCGS (leadership), could you share your DD's profile? My DD's from a neighbourhood school. Her overall AL in P5 and P6 are 4-6 and is a head prefect. She won the edusave scholarship and eagles awards but was not shortlisted. Need closure. Thanks!

My daughter shortlisted for interview via leadership to SCGS.
She is CCA leader, won Edusave awards, eagles award last Yr. P5 result AL7.
Won many local and international awards for her school CCA. No community work outside school.

I'm really impressed with other children portfolio that some parents share for the leadership roles.

My girl applied Math and Science. Math is between AL1/AL2... Science is consistently at AL1 since P3. Total AL ard 6-8. No other awards or other achievement too. Its ok... its the experience and exposure that we are looking for.
