zac's mum\" post_id=\"2076875\" time=\"1659185396\" user_id=\"53606:
Thx slmkhoo. It is more of the underlined part. He enjoys school, he enjoys learning new stuff, all the more if the subject is non-examinable. Written exams are his nemesis, that’s all. Yes, looking forward to later in life. I dont intend to hover or micromanage from Sec 1-3, just wondering if I need to assist with targeted exam skills in Sec 4.
If a child needs help in those skills, and parents can help, then I think we should do what we can. That's the privilege of those kids who have parents who can help. I guess because we were away for most of our kids' school life, and I had to manage so much of their education, I just carried on after we came back to Singapore. Since I never had the option of tuition to fall back on in the early years, I just got used to the idea that I would help in whatever way I could. We did consider tuition and classes, but given my daughter's needs, couldn't find anything suitable, so it was down to us parents in the end.

        MKS

Jia you! It is never easy to be a parent.

I wonder if my mum worried that much when my siblings were young.
Her method was very simple; canning when she saw red marks in the report card. Hence getting my report card was the worse event in each year when I was in pri sch. And I only realised the urgency to study after the exam 🙂

When I got to sec sch, somehow i realised the importance of results and from then, i didnt have to let my mum worried a bit on my studies. She always said among her 3 kids, i was the best in studying 🙂

Hence my conclusion: inner motivation is the most important. Find out how to ignite your princesses' inner motivation and the rest will be automatic.

Looks like with oversupply, hopefully M’sia govt lift on ban of fresh chicken & might be cheaper. Indonesia alr putting aside available land for chicken resting in Batam & we can look fwd to fresh chicken once they can achieve high std of fresh chicken export to SG.

Looks like it. It’s good that our govt hv good diplomatic relations with President Jojo. Also attribute to our strong economic standing. Imagine Indo approving land for rearing fresh chicken in Indo & they’ll set up stds that meet our req’mts in Batam. So near.

Yes. Think we shld hv the best of both worlds - lower chicken prices & fresh birds fr either M or I.

Kids are complaining our new place is inconvenient.

To a certain degree, it is compared to Toh Yi. But we didn’t have a choice since hubby got retrenched and his OA was running dry. Flat was also old and would cost a lot to renovate.
Moving would be a big headache since resale flats are expensive. Anyway, they will get married and move out one fine day.
