There is a branch in a mall near my place. Lots of middle-aged and above customers. And the placements are easily 6-digits over the counter. An eye-opener..=)

FD rates at Maybank, Standchart and Bank of China are better than the local 3 banks. But not sure if my concerns about placing FD with foreign banks are justified.

You can check Fundsupermart to see if you can buy some of the cooperate bonds at smaller quantities.
Many buy Reits.

I have been placing my $100K as FD at Bank of China since Year 2016 and the FD will auto renew upon its maturity. So far so good and every year taking the interest out. What are your concerns? :?

Is your concern about soundness of the financial institution?
