      P1 2C registration for 2023 results
      1st day:-
      No. of vacancies: 101
      No. of applicants: 52

      Based on past records, does SC>2km stand a good chance?[/quote]
      Very good chance. Has a low probability of balloting for SC > 2km happening but I think it’s worthwhile to take the risk.

        Actually it's hard to say. Only 101 places are now available and there were 110 applicants last year and it required balloting. There are already 52 applicants this year. The good news is that it has required at most balloting for SC >2km throughout all these years that we have been monitoring. :xedfingers:

          True.
          However, I’m willing to take a bet that with many, more popular schools offering a minimal 40 places, competition for the moderately popular, or less popular schools, will see a slight drop in demand.

          Furthermore, we can’t tell how many PRs are in the 52 applicants to inflate number / stake a claim / ward off potential applicants.

            OK. Here's the Phase 2C situation for St Margaret's.

            https://i.imgur.com/d0KO6eG.png\">

            Under \"2C balloting\",
            0 = No balloting
            1 = Balloting for PR > 2km
            2 = Balloting for PR 1-2km
            3 = Balloting for PR <1km
            4 = Balloting for SC > 2km

                Hi all, any updates on the final number of applicants and whether there was any balloting for 1-2km or only >2km for SC?

                  What are you looking for? Phase 2C has already ended and Phase 2C(S) is only starting on the coming Monday.
                  St Margaret's has no more places for Phase 2C(S).

                    Probably asking for the final figure for Phase 2C.
                    101 vacancies, 122 applicants. Ballot for SC > 2km

                      You should have received the SMS on result day itself on 10 Aug morning for 2C. Currently SM no more places for next phase.

                        To be prudent, you may want to estimate it to mid or late 2024 for renovation to be completed due to COVID-19 factor. I doubt renovation can be completed by Dec 2023.
                        That would be very depressing … hope they are moving fast now that construction manpower has become somewhat easier

                        Just got into SMPS in 2023 for my daughter (was Phase 2C)!
