Actually not sure of 'seldom' in general also. For myself, if have some mucos and sneezing in the morning esp when I just came out to work..usually after coffee and after sun came out will be fine.
That sounds like allergic rhinitis, not flu. It's very common - my husband has it every day, and I used to have it quite badly, but have \"outgrown\" it?

How seldom is seldom? My girls and I probably averaged 2-4 colds/flu per year each pre-Covid. Not usually serious, maybe just 1-2 days of MC a year.

We are also only doing the minimum of mask-wearing (obeying the regulations but not exceeding the requirements), and not being overly zealous about sanitisation etc. My girls are in the office at least 3 days a week, often more, and one of them has many meetings with outsiders. I go to office twice a week.

I'm getting my 2nd booster in Sep in preparation for a vacation in Nov, but I wouldn't mind also getting Covid soon, just to have that added protection and to stop having to look over my shoulder. Now is a good time as it's a lull period with my work now! The last thing I want is to get it when I'm going to be very busy just before I travel, or while overseas, or when I get back and will be busy catching up.
You and your dds are lucky because you no need to go office every working day and your industries are not high risk essential service.

Me and kiddos have been spared so far. All of us are out and about, DS to school, DD for her internship and me to work daily. DS say he is most likely the only one in his class who has not been infected. DD’s friends and colleagues have been infected but she has also been spared. For me, more than 80% of my staff have been infected, each round of infection they make bets that me and the few who have not been infected will finally get it but end up we are still fine but others had reinfection.

I do not really take extra precautions except for the masking up. Neither do kiddos. We do not fall sick that often, come to think of it, these past 2 years none of us even had a cold. DH is the only one who was infected with Covid. The irony of it is DH kept nagging kids about going out and hanging out with friends and me not working from home more. He nag because we are the ones with respiratory ailments and allergies like asthma and allergy rhinitis so he feels we are weaker.

Ya it sounds like allergic rhinitis indeed. I used to have the same daily but have outgrown it ever since I went to Oz for Uni studies. Possibly the drier climate helped.

True, and we do appreciate the flexibility. But it is still apparent that while many of our friends and colleagues, who are also not in office every day, have caught Covid, we haven't. And many of these people have been much more careful about mask-wearing, limiting social activities, sanitising, travel, etc.
