Playing Boardgames also having self worth and keeping active in mind but not bringing home food.
Working is not just to bring home food but to have self worth, independence, keeping active in mind and body etc.

But my DH and my son both are working full time.
Playing board games is your hobby to keep u active , mind n physical to go there etc
I have no mind space to find a hobby I really enjoy yet , will be looking in this area when I have more free time for myself , hopefully 2 yrs time . -

Yes, we are fortunate. I do realise that many in Singapore do not have that kind of choice at all. But not all make that decision to stay home or work less and still maintain the same standard of living - my husband and I made the choice to live at a much lower standard of living in order to have me stay at home. We reassessed the decision several times over the years, but so far have always decided that the value of having me at home was greater than the loss of my income. I have increased my work gradually over the past 8 years as my kids grew, but my husband has also had his income fluctuate as he switched jobs a few times! Now that we are both nearly 60, we know we can never make up the income for those \"lost\" years, but we are happy with our past decisions.
I am thinking, actually most of mums here are very fortunate because you have the freedom to decide whether to work, full time, part time or just stay at home for Korean drama. For me, if I don't work full time, I will have no rice to eat (没饭吃) as I am in a 手停口停 status. 😞
You probably do have the choice to reduce your work hours or stop work as you have 2 people in full-time employment in your home. But you seem happy with your life now, and there is a lot of benefit (not just financial) in working. In your position, I wouldn't give up work yet as you are still fairly young and have no dependents who need you at home. -

Yes, got rice to eat but still have to work full time. Nowadays, we cannot depend on Kids, they want to spend their money on having buffet, travelling to overseas, renovation of their BTO Flat, etc, no money left over for parents.

Sometimes, it does not take much mind space and time for a hobby. Just do some reading...maybe 10 min everyday before going to bed is already good enough. -

Speaking of bananas... I swamped with them... I bought a bunch and then my sister came and gave me a whole new bunch! I been eating them frenziedly as they are going soft. Bananas cannot keep in the fridge and also will go bad in open air.
Today get them eat banana. Oats with cranberry and milk is snack to them too.
OK, I go eat another banana now... sigh. -

If u have a blender at home, can consider freezing some excess bananas (peeled & sliced) in ziplock bags. On a hot day, can blend with milk to make a nice cold smoothie.

Overripe banana has very yucky texture but uber fragrant....bestest for shakes! -

Alternatively, overly-riped bananas are great for making banana cake and muffins, good for breakfast.
No need to stuff yourself with bananas now.... Chief...it's a torturous way to enjoy a good fruit. -

Yes, bananas are pretty high in both carbs and sugar - Is it good to be overeaten by a diabetic? :?
