      Hi,

May I know what are the chances of a WL converting to CO for RV?

        Hi,

MOE's official statement is about half of all WL get converted. Supposedly, some schools tend to size their WL so that the chance of conversion is \"quite high.\" Unfortunately, I am not aware of RVHS practice here.

In the end, the most important thing is something we will (unfortunately) never know. If the child is towards the front of the WL ordering, the chances of conversion will be very high. Conversely, if the child is towards the back of the WL ordering, the chances may not be so high.

Best of luck to your child for both the remaining PSLE papers and hope you will get a spot via WL conversion on result day.

Yes, for the LA kids they must take Lit Performance, which is the same subject that the double science kids must take to replace their missing Group 6. I guess the only way you can confirm if by IB will offer a dedicated Group 6 subject for Lit Arts by 2026 (for those that enter in 2023) is to contact IB yourself or do your own research. IBO is in charge of syllabus changes and responds independently to the school. And of course I would imagine that if indeed it becomes its own Group 6 stand alone subject, that SOTA would be the first to offer it. Lit Arts however is much time the same as HL Lit so it would be tough to justify a Group 6 subject just for Lit Arts given the similarities. Just my opinion though.
FYI - this was released end of May but I just saw it now. The part in bold is pretty cool :salute:

Singapore, May 30, 2022 – The School of the Arts Singapore (SOTA) today announced the introduction of Literary Arts as a new School Based Syllabus (SBS) to be offered for students pursuing the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme from January 2023. Jointly developed by SOTA’s Literary Arts Faculty and the International Baccalaureate (IB), the course will provide students in SOTA and other IB schools worldwide the opportunity to develop creative practices that integrate the ideation, writing, and sharing of original literary works.

Hi everyone, can I check if we will get a hard copy letter from the school to indicate the CO that is given to the child. My dd received CO for cedar girls under Social Innovation via email, but we have not received any letter from the school yet.

            Thanks

I suspect that it depends on the school though I've received my DS' letters from SJI & SOTA.

                      Hi Easter_Mum3,

My son has a CO from RI but has not received any hard copy letter. So I think it depends on school. Perhaps it is also good to check in with other parents whose kids receive CO from Cedar.

May I ask what is the profile for your DD’s for Social Innovation?

                      Thank you in advance.

Got email good enough lor... nowadays few people wants snail mail.
What is much more important is your kid doing well in the PSLE. Good luck.
