Jumping in here - no connection to the school, but I live nearby.
Thomson East Coast Line 11 stations to open 13 november 2022
may i ask which is nearer ? Queenstown MRT or Napier MRT ( 1505 m )
what is a faster way to reach school ? what bus with more frequency from which direction? walking can be quite shiong .
thanks
Redhill (EW line) is the nearest MRT station, and I do see many students walking. Google maps says its 850m/11 min walk. Queenstown is double the distance, and Napier is even further.
I'm not as familiar with the buses, but I know that and 32, 122 and 132 to Redhill MRT and 111 goes to Queenstown. In the opposite direction, 111 and 132 also go to Tanglin Road and Scotts Road (Orchard MRT). You can look up the routes and schedules. -

Agree with what SlmKhoo has shared, Redhill MRT would be the closest station and it’ll be within walking distance to the school. Many girls walk to school from Redhill.

The new mrt line is not much more convenient for this school. Both Queenstown and Napier MRT are too far to walk, unless your child loves, enjoys long distance walking… both MRT have bus 111 which leads to the school, but in opposite directions. Queenstown MRT would be slightly nearer and faster. -

The 111 doesn't go down Napier Rd. It travels down Tanglin Rd, and Napier MRT is nearer Gleneagles. She would have to walk from the bus stop outside the British High Commission on Tanglin Rd.

I wasn’t sure since it’s a new station. Like VivoCity or Plaza Sing, it can have many exits. Btw, train rides are free on the station opening day!

Seems like there are only 2 exits - one outside Gleneagles and another opposite. Not very near the Tanglin Rd junction.

To familiarise commuters with TEL3 stations, commuters can preview and travel for free along the TEL3 stations during the TEL3 opening event on 11 November 2022 from 10.00am to 9.00pm. A series of activities will be held to mark the opening of the newest stage of the TEL. More details of the activity line-up will be available subsequently on LTA’s social media pages.
