Good luck! I would just stay in for Angsana and hope you get it.

There's really not much else to do. Per above, Angsana, Junyuan, and Tampines Primary will ballot based on the 2CS Day 1 applicants. So the choice is ballot for Angsana and if unsuccessful probably get assigned to Tampines North. Or withdraw from Angsana and go for Tampines North in 2CS. Seems to be not much risk...

Do note, there were 291 unsuccessful kids across St Hilda's, Poi Ching, Chongzheng, and Gongshang in 2C. As of yesterday, only 173 kids had registered at the Tampines schools with 2CS vacancy. I think it is possible that the Angsana and Junyuan applicants could go up, as these two schools are probably the closest option for the St. Hilda's and Poi Ching 2C unsuccessful (196 2C unsuccessful across these two schools). But I guess we'll see at 6 pm on Friday (19 Aug). Good luck again :xedfingers:
Latest update: Angsana and Junyuan will need balloting while Tampines North & Yumin are only half filled. Out of the four, Yumin seems quite a popular school (located right beside ChongZheng) but why was Yumin only half filled while ChongZheng was fully filled during 2C registration? Does anyone has any idea?

I'm not sure what you mean in regards to Yumin. Likely, it is the most convenient location for some of the Gonghang and Chongzheng 2C unsuccessful. Yumin had fewer applicants in 2CS than Angsana, Junyuan, and Tampines North.

Not saying it is any better or worse than others. The standard procedure seems to be that most people ballot for one of St Hilda's, Poi Ching, Gongshang, and Chongzheng in 2C. If unsuccessful, they are dispersed among the remaining schools in 2CS / assigned.

Hi, I will like to get some guidance on how the balloting works. I see that for schools that requires balloting at phase 2C, some ballots only <1km only, but some will ballots 1-2km.

How do we tell the different school’s balloting criteria on distance?

Balloting depends on the total number of people applying in a certain Phase. If 100 people applied and there are 100 or more places in the school, then there is no need to ballot. But if 101 people apply for the 100 places, then balloting will have to take place.

First, the closest people to the school, ie. <1km. Lets say there are 90 of them. These people automatically forgo the balloting, since the school has enough places for them. But if the 101 people are <1km, then balloting will have to occur, with 1 very unlucky fellow getting kicked out.

Let's keep to 90 applicants who are <1km. That will leave 10 places for 11 parents living outside of 1km. Let's say 5 of these people stay 1-2km away. These people also don't need to ballot, since the school still have enough places.

That will leave 6 people staying >2km away, vying for the remaining 5 seats. There is no choice. These 6 will need to ballot for the 5 seats, with 1 person being the odd one out.

After Phase 2B is Phase 2C, then Phase 2CS.

                  Phase 1 -> 2A -> 2B -> 2C -> 2CS.

                  All the best.

If you are asking whether it is automatic, the answer is yes. But you will go to 2C first, failing which you will have to contend with 2C(S). If you fail at 2C(S), MOE will take over and post your child to the nearest school to your place. You will not go to Phase 3.

                      There is no \"auto\".
If your balloting is not successful in Phase 2B, and you would like to try the school again in Phase 2C, you will need to re-apply when Phase 2C opens.

But as I am not a church member and I understand active community leader need to have at least 2 years commitment which I maybe too late to register for it.

Meaning I can only try phase 2C which I tink also totally out since I stay 1km to 2km...

seems no other choice of school for me now...
                        except Xinghua
Hi. You can ballot for HIPS in Phase 2C and if unsuccessful try for Xinghua in Phase 2CS
