I have 4 pairs of Size 30 long pants and 1 pair of size 30 short pants to give away. They are worn and and I have kept them as spare so they will need a wash. Good to keep as spare in case of emergency

Hi, May I know the below please esp from those whose sons are in the Arts DSA.

1. Do the Visual Arts DSA students generally cope well with the demands of both academic and additional arts curriculum?
2. Will these students be integrated in the same classes as those entering via PSLE results as well as subject DSAs?
3. What kind of support will be provided for those who do not cope well with the academic expectations of the school?
4. What is the schedule like, for the Visual Arts program? Do they still take another CCA in addition to the AEP?
5. Will they be taking the O'Levels Art Exam in Sec 4?

Hi, wanted to refresh this - any parents with helpful views on the Visual Arts program in RI? Will the boy be required to take the main CCA like badminton or Scouts as well? Thanks

As we will be away in December, so we would like to prepare this ahead. Just wanted to check if anyone have the RI uniform list (like what we need to buy) for secondary 1 student? I noticed that secondary school Uniform is no longer so straight forward. There are tie, badge, jacket etc…

Do give the General Office a call. We were in a similar situation a few years ago. They arranged a separate timing for us to collect what was distributed on Reporting Day. RI bookstore accepts advance order of the books/stationery (do confirm with them in case of any recent changes) and on the uniform arrangement.

Information will be provided to both Year 4 parents and students. Year 4 Parents got the guide in May two years ago. Please use the latest guide since there may be changes from year to year.

If there is no change,

1) Students who wish to offer 11 units at Year 5 (comprising GP, PW, MT and four H2 subjects) must have obtained a GPA of 3.2 and above at Year 4.

2) Students who wish to offer specific H2 subjects must meet the minimum subject prerequisites required at Year 4. Examples:-

Biology
GP of 2.0 and above for Biology

Chemistry
GP of 2.0 and above for Chemistry

Physics
GP of 2.0 and above for Physics

Mathematics
GP of 2.0 and above for Mathematics 1
GP of 2.0 and above for Mathematics 2

Further Mathematics
GP of 4.0 for Mathematics 1
GP of 3.6 and above for Mathematics 2
Must be offered together with H2 Mathematics

Qn:- If I accept the Confirmed Offer for the Visual Arts talent area, do I need to take up a visual arts CCA?

Answer:- No, there is no requirement for you to take up any specific CCA if you accept a Confirmed Offer in the Visual Arts talent area.

Thanks! Just called. The person informed that they cannot provide the book list and uniform list in advance. They will only release the lists from 22 December onwards

I think the Sec 1 booklist will not be out this early. You can ask another parent whose son is also going to RI next year to order the books/stationery in advance after the booklist is out so you can collect at the bookshop when you are back in Singapore. You can also call the bookshop to check if they have delivery service so you can collect from a friend/relative place.

Uniform -> I think you should be able to buy some sets before Dec (uniforms and PE attire, jacket is optional). I am not aware of any new changes (the last change to different material/vendor was quite recent in Nov 2019). Do check with the General Office and if there is no change of uniform/supplier this year, contact the school bookshop for their opening days/hours (also check if they have stocks before you go).
