Parallel import i think.

I’m more worried abt non-official sources that churn out fake products. I wld take extra care in case of un-approved ingredients/chemicals used.

I’m assuming that Venus, being a local shop, has had their goods regularly spot checked & tested by HSA. If there had been any problems in their history, would have long ago been red flagged.
If buy from questionable sources on HP app platforms, then I wont feel the same. -
we trust the authority checks all pdts sold in Spore.
The cost of toothpaste can vary much from supermarket to various shops in neighbourhood. -
The Colgate Total Clean Mint I bought from
Venus was manufactured in Thailand, under Colgate-Palmolive.
Venus has about 30 outlets in Singapore, Value shop has like 50+ outlets. Unlikely to sell fake Colgate toothpaste or fake Loacker Choco wafer bah… -

Yes. The other possible sources are regions like Thailand - usually toiletries & pharmaceutical related herbs; M’sia - usually the beverages are palm content incl ice-cream & chocolates which I carefully avoids …
The other day, I visited a frd whose boy was admitted to hospital. Was told he likes the milo 3-in-1 pkt & when I visited the Value Shop, realized their label is diff fr those sold at NTUC incl the sports figure reflected on the pkt. I hesitated & decided to get them fr NTUC.
I suppose the ingredients used are dissimilar, just as those Australian 2.5kg Milo tin differs fr those that uses Australian Recipe & a 3rd type sold as Asian (palm based product) recipe. I buy the Australian product as the Australian Recipe don’t taste as rich in the chocolatey taste & will definitely avoid the Asian version. Most ppl still seemingly not affected, but I was told by my boss previously that the long term effects of blockages to our system not immediately detected. -
I think for toiletries, we can buy from those cheap-cheap shops.
For food, we better buy from reputable ones like supermarkets.
