Tomorrow at 11:30am, P6 students will probably (and finally!) get their PSLE results.

If you did well within your expectations, congratulations and keep it up!
If you did not do well, reflect on the reasons why you didn’t and address them properly during your next big examination. You will definitely do better then.

Regardless, the PSLE is just the first major test meant to filter you through Singapore’s really complicated education system. It is mostly right, but for some folks, it may be totally off. Remember, there are plenty more of other examinations and trials out there for you to go through, so it is by NO means the "test that ends all tests"!

          Best regards for everyone involved.

I really don’t like the word "filter" through because my kid is not "Residue" or "Filtrate". I prefer to look at it as the first major nationwide exam to assess the academic strengths and weakness on our students.

Can feel the anticipation!! Although I don’t have a psle kid this year, I want to congratulate all P6 parents and children for surviving it! You all did awesome!

Do celebrate whether or not you did well within your expectations, because it’s been a tough journey and its no easy feat going through it all and surviving!

Even if you think you did not meet your expectations, do not feel upset as you will definitely do better next time. Celebrate the learning moment as well and take it as a positive feedback. Do plan to celebrate the tremendous effort, regardless the results!

All the best P6 parents and graduates!

Good luck to all P6 students and their parents/families!!

Irrespective of the results, do remember that there's so much more to school and life than the PSLEs 🙂 (That's been my daily mantra for a while too) 🙂

                  Agree. Just to add on.

Most of our P6s are old enough to know when they did extremely well or not after receiving their result slips first hand. Parents do not need to add anymore oil to the fire.
What we can hope is that through this P6 experience, they learnt some important life lessons to be a better person their are now or to wake up in time for their next milestone if they didn't meet their expectations this time.

The worst that can happen is to allow the outcome of PSLE to break their hearts and lose confidence in life.

Kuddos to many remarkable parents, many I believe are not in this forum, I have come across, who stand by their children who did them proud with AL19 or AL25.

This awkward period when random people keep asking how kids have done.... Will pass. Trust us, one year passed and no one is talking about AL scores anymore.

Hi, we are also considering 3rd lang either Spanish or German. Really appreciate if anyone can share the pro and cons between the above two langs.

I also heard from some friends that Japanese is the most difficult with highest dropping rate. Is this true?
During the third Lang webinar, the organizers shared drop out rates and details, as well as pros and cons of the 4 third languages offered at moelc. And yes my dd decided on her third Lang after asking the speakers questions - including clarifying hearsay details about jap 😂
