Hi, I wish to confirm my understanding how the COP works. Let’s say the ACTUAL 2022 COP for my 1st to 5th choices turns out to be 10 for each of them. And the ACTUAL 2022 COP for my 6th choice is 15.

If my PSLE score is 12, does this mean that I will definitely get posted to the 6th choice? Meaning if my score is better than the ACTUAL 2022 COP of the school I choose, how I rank it has no relevance?

Asking on behalf of a friend. Her DS scored 17. He is a PR. Below are the choices. Risky? If 1st to 5th choices not able to get, 6th shd be quite safe right?

          1) Queensway /17/Margaret Drive
          2) St Gabriel / 17/ Serangoon
          3) Mayflower /17/ AMK
          4) Deyi Sec / 18/ AMK
          5) Kent Ridge / 18/ West Coast
          6) Pierce Sec / 19/ Bishan

I’m not appealing (though our school briefed the entire hall on the appeal fee and process). I have 2 friends quite traumatized by the drop, still wavering cos any change will not impact the secondary school outcome anyway. Maybe just the satisfaction of getting a corrected cert.
Got lah, just very rare. I have read some cases (seemed legit to me).

I think we need to take into account factors for under-performance such as careless mistakes, nervousness (first National Exam with external invigilators), exam techniques (e.g., stuck/affected by questions they have not seen before), ...

SEAB -> When a candidate submits an appeal, there will be a senior marker to conduct a thorough review of the marking and he/she will make sure that the computation of the marks is correct. There are stringent quality control processes and multiple independent checks to make sure the results released are accurate. A change in grade after appeal is very rare.

Academic merit (PSLE AL Score) comes first. So yes.

A bit risky. There is no guarantee that the COP will not change from 19 to 17 this year. Better to be conservative for 5th and 6th choice.

                  All the best.

Can I ask if my boy scored 11 and chung cheng main cop is 11M, its a wasted choice?

                    Want to place
                    1. Maris Stella cop 12
                    2. Chung cheng Main 11M
                    3. Zhonghua sec 13
                    4. Kuo Chuan Pres

And I don't know what to do with the other choices, would appreciate input, thank u so much!
It is not a wasted choice if it is a school that he wants/likes. Who knows, the COP may change from 11M to 12X this year.

                    All the best.

                      Hi

My Boy scored AL13 , HTL ( Higher Tamil = Merit ) and he can choose 3rd Language selection either Malay/Chinese /Indonesia.
I am not able to choose secondary school. Can you please advise , what is the best school for my son.
I was thinking, he will to go to VS - O level by scoring AL10 at least. But now he got only AL13…
and it seems to be very difficult.

                      My Order :
                      1. Victoria School - O level (COB : AL9)
                      2. Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Secondary School (COB: AL12)
                      3. Temasek Secondary (COP : AL13)
                      4. Tanjong Katong Secondary School (COB: AL14)
                      5. Bowen Sec Sch (COB: AL16)
                      6. Dunman Sec Sch (COB: AL14)

Currently staying in Ang Mo Kio (rental) and work is at Bedok…

Kindly help to advise my choice is correct. Or Do you have any better O-level school. ( His elder brother is VS -IP sec3) …

                      Please help to advise…

                      Thanks you so much parents…

                      Thanks & Regards
                      Shan

                        Hi,

DD has AL16. I’m not sure if I Jurong Sec will be a wasted choice as DD AL is 1 point more than their COP. Will I have better chance for Hua Yi if I put as first choice?

                        Jurong Sec (COP 15)
                        Hua Yi (COP 16)
West Spring (COP 17) - but further
                        Yuan Ching (COP 19)
                        Jurong West (COP 18)
                        Juying (COP 21)

Another question which I’m curious is, if a student with AL10 choose JSS as second choice and another one with AL12 choose JSS as first choice, who will be considered first?
