All the best! Hope that it's an unfortunate error and that she's done way better instead.
My dd is in a SAP school. Top 10% in cohort and top 3 in class every year. We could not accept it. We requested for review. -

Was the type of swing observed in the other 2 kids (of the top 3)?

For them it was pretty close to their prelims. I have another girl taking it next year. Don’t know how to prepare… Btw want to check are your PSLE scores closer to your prelims or your P5 SA2 results? Thanks 🙏🏻

Hi all experts
Would like to check one question
If XXX sch cop dropped to our AL can we appeal even if we did not put XXX sch within our 6 choices? -

Yes. This was what happened to nanyang one year when the cop dropped and then many went to appeal even though they did not choose in the list of 6, as they thought their t score was too far off from the previous years. And I recall reading about successful appeal cases in ksp.

However, the school you end up appealing for, can also choose not to take you in. They wont be telling the unsuccessful appeal cases the reason why they are unsuccessful. So I suppose you will have a stronger case for appeal if the school is at least in the list of 6. Unless your profile is very good or the school is very keen to fill up vacancies. -

Non-medical reasons

If you are seeking a transfer due to other reasons, it is important to keep the following in mind:
- You should submit your appeal directly to your preferred school. Find out more about the appeal process from the school's website.
- All our schools have programmes to cater to the diverse strengths and interests of students. You are encouraged to let your child settle in the posted school, so as not to disrupt their learning. Schools will need time to process the appeals and the outcome of the appeals may only be known from mid-January. Schools may also not be able to accept appeals due to limited vacancies.
- Your child’s PSLE score must meet the school’s cut-off point (COP) of that posting year. This is required as it ensures that the S1 Posting remains fair, transparent and objective to all who participated. Admitting students who do not meet the school’s COP would not be fair to other students who obtained a similar or even better PSLE score, but had failed to obtain a place in the school through the S1 posting process.
- Your child needs to meet the school’s admission criteria.
- The school must have available vacancies.
If your child had met the school’s COP and you wish to appeal to your preferred school, you may check the preferred school’s website for more information.
We seek your understanding that schools may not be able to accept appeals due to limited vacancies. If the school’s website does not have information on the appeals process, it may mean that the school is no longer accepting appeals.

Helping a friend to ask. If a kid opted for NA, for SBB when do they know if they are eligible to take some subjects at express?

Hi, any parent on the forum able to share a sample of timetable schedule in preparation for PSLE in 2023? Thank you very much in advance.

My advice is that, where given a chance to, try to take Express. There's a need to expose children to challenges, rather than protecting them. If indeed they don't do well, it's fine to go to NA stream in Sec 2
Choosing NA with SBB, the differences become more pronounced when choosing subject combination in Sec 3. Choices will be very limited, and at least for the schools I know, there's a limit of 3 SBB subjects.
