Hi. Just for clarity:

#1. For RI and ACS(I), HCL grade does not matter. Could be Distinction or no HCL; the total AL Score is what determines priority (then citizenship, choice, ballot).

#2. Last year's (2021 PSLE) COPs were RI = AL6, HCI = AL7(M), ACS(I) = AL7, RVHS = AL9(M). Hence, the sure in scores required are RI = AL5, HCI = AL7(D) (AL6 something to be safe), ACS(I) = AL6, RVHS= AL9(D) (AL8 something to be safe).

Obviously, can update later this year and you will get to see another outcome next year.

The publication of the “Choosing Your Secondary Schools” booklet (both physical and e-copy) has been ceased (2021 was the final year of publication).

One option is to just look at last year's COP (or the history of COPs starting with 2021); at least this is factual.

Nevertheless, do keep in mind the cohort size. We are not sure if MOE is adjusting specific schools' intake sizes here and there (for slight fluctuations in the birthrate, etc). Best I know:
2020 PSLE = 39,995
2021 PSLE = 39,119
2022 PSLE = 37,095
2023 P6s = 38,293 (2021 P4 cohort size)
2024 P6s = 41,037 (2021 P3 cohort size)

Anyways, we will all get another tally later this year, and can go from there. Enjoy the school holidays and good luck for upper primary next year!

Maths Heuristics is a good one. I like the way they explain the questions especially the modeling questions, with \"before, changes, after\" stages. I personally benefitted a lot by just watching their video clips.

Primary 5 Mathematics is the toughest level in primary school. It is wise to ensure the kids know the contents well enough.
