The 2022 PSLE papers have just been published. U can buy for the child to see and try - choose the ones that come with model answers - from Popular (or from Open Schoolbag website). Those qns on topics not covered yet, skip first & come back to them later.

I would hold off on PSLE papers or mock papers for now. If the kids is made to do PSLE papers from now till next year, he is really going to be bored! And since there are topics he hasn’t covered yet, he may get unnecessarily discouraged by questions he can’t do. Maybe home in on his weak topics for a bit of extra work. For other things, as long as he is coping well with daily work, and revising those topics as he goes, he should be fine. Remind him that he won’t have much time to revise P6 topics, so it’s important to get them learnt thoroughly first time round.


I agree that you should try to complement the revision done in school rather than have a separate revision programme lined up for your child. You don’t want him to be too bored or to burn out.

From July, I guess you can start doing PSLE papers. But remember to allow leisure time as well.

Thanks all for the suggestions. Yah currently teaching her some p6 topics first and maybe got time revisit those p5 topics she is weak in.

Must make full use of 24 hrs - 6 hrs sleep enough. If need more sleep, sleep on the bus or car on the way to school.
Must be seen either doing paper, assessment book, attending tuition, ie “productive” work.

I think you need to find some way of signalling that you have your tongue firmly in your cheek! Some people might take you seriously, and a poor child's suffering will be on your conscience.

I think REST time is necessary.. it’s like downtime.. do some fun stuff to recharge. 6 hours of sleep only?! 😮 I recommend 9-10 hours for the child’s brain to function optimally.

@floppy is just kidding lah... though I have trouble having even 7 hours of sleep these days If I get 7 hours of sleep daily, I'll wear a badge for great achievement

I think he is half way in between kidding and being real this time..

.. On a serious note, kids and adults are different, they definitely need more sleep than us! (I get about 7-8 too)
