If you don't wish for the helper to return, there is no obligation to have her around at all. Just send her back once her contract is over.

lol sorry for the misunderstanding! Then please dangle the carrot. All ex-gratia extra payments, please commit to her and tell her she will receive it on her return to Singapore 🙂 This is especially so if she cannot get her OEC in Singapore and can only get it in Philippines, because you never know if she can get it successfully in Philippines! The OEC appointment slots in Singapore are generally very full unless you book very far out.

Well, she has to find out how to settle this OEC etc. My hands are full - need to dig deep into my piggy bank
She plans to return in Oct, citing Sep (time for new contract) is a rainy season.

Flights to Manila may be cheaper as compared to Clarke.

Not to worry, Clark is generally cheap to fly to as there are low cost carriers serving that route.

Do bear in mind when helper meet on their off-days, they brag & compare their Eyers & packages. I’ve had frds giving helpers yearly airfares & “paid leaves” inclusive. Then it affected my helpers who look at us as misers & “not good eyers” cheating them of their entitlements. I’ve one KSP member who shared his Agency actually issued the 1st contract with public holidays & Yearly homeleave when he employed his 1st P helper. He was a 1st time eyer & just sign the papers & paid accordingly till his helper asked for her 1st public holiday outing. Turns out the manager at the agency is P origin.

This is also one of my \"worries\".
People talk and compare. My helper's mum is working in Spore too. It is very natural both will talk and compare. And people tend to see the other side of the pasture is greener.

Once a while I do remind her that we are very simple ie no frills and not rich. But we never compromise on meals bec my dad has to eat too. So whatever he eats, she eats except his food is being cut into tiny pieces and mashed at times.
