Our P6s have non weighted assessments in Terms 1 and 2 as well, much like back in P5.

In fact, she has reflected on her routines, & we actually have more leisurely time this year!! :-)[/quote]
Hi and thanks for the info. Seems like the above is the standard issue now [Edit: other kid's school has WA1 worth 15% and WA2 worth 15%, this seems to be uncommon from what I've seen]. With a well thought out plan, which you guys have, I'm sure your youngest will do well! :rahrah: :rahrah:

I'm not sure about you but for me the second (or third, fourth, etc) time through always seems a lot easier. Not that it is any easier with regards to the actual work, but you know what is reasonable, realise there will be some bumps (don't need to be perfect all the way through), and accept that one has done what is possible to give the child a chance to do his/her best. The actual outcome is still subject to some luck (or absence of bad luck), but it wasn't for a lack of preparation or effort.

I guess it is the same for the new S1 this year. I kind of know what's coming and think it should be OK, so just watch and observe. For the S3, at times this feels like a bad movie sequel where you watch the child fumble around, driving straight towards the side of a cliff, think about the crash, etc :yikes: :yikes: . Probably need to remind myself if just close your eyes for eight more months it will likely be OK...

Anyways, best of luck and look forward to Oct!

u already expressed outright, blatant coveted MOTIVES, without blinking your eyelid. Whether > 2 km or not, not impt. Who knows whether u are speaking the truth or not ? Maybe your Tengah house Is less than 2 km, or less than 1 km, but u can come here and say more than 2 km, who can verify what u are saying, correct or not ?

            Hi my friend,
I am staying in Boon Lay Drive somewhere near the River Valley High School. I welcome you to come to my home for hotpot dinner and mahjong playing whenever you are free.

School’s annual cross-country run (3.3km) has resumed after 3 years. May i know whether the timings are officially recorded, and any major implications? Does it replace the Napfa test, or will that happen also later in the same year?

Kiddo is seriously unfit. Not much time left to train up. I used to fail my compulsory cross country run (not annual i recall) - didn’t have any implications right?

3.3km and compulsory?! Wow. I think it is after my time as I don't recall running more than 2.4km and no compulsory timing.

DS don’t rmbr recording but will certainly not replace NAPFA. DS hv very good training relating to warming up, suitable dieting, sleep & dedication & determination. Not too late to train. DH picked up with DS & within a year, he was in races just as much as DS. 加油💪🏻

Thanks dear. DS has always been a short-distance sprinter, no long-distance stamina. But i just came back from a 1km run with him, so far seems ok, i was panting but he could still talk throughout and not breathless. I think needs faster pace lol.

Good to hear yr young man hv good stamina. Can build on it. Don’t hurry the process. Stretching a & warming up exercises are impt. DS do a lot of it but DH not enuf.

At the hawker centre next to Si ma lu temple, there is a fish all noodle stall with long queue in the morning. Anyone tried and is it really worth the wait? With like 20 people in the queue, I reckon the queuing time is at least 1hr?
