Thanks alot for sharing. Really hands off but worry mine is not on top of what's happening.
To add on, throughout the year, suitable students will receive invitations from govt agencies as well as autonomous uni to apply for their scholarships. The super solid ones may get invitations from PSC as well.

So remind your kid to check his inbox and mailbox regularly.

Yes. My daughter them found them helpful and knowledgable. They will ask students who have been through the various processes etc, and that adds to their \"knowledge base\"!

Actually it's not uncommon for RI kids to receive such invitations. So don't rule out your boy's chance so fast. πŸ˜„

From what I understand, PW is group work consisting of a year-long research/survey exercise, cumulating with a report and presentation at the end of Y5. Assessment is by internal staff and moderated by MOE. Needless to say, group synergy and experience of the PW tutor is critical to do well.

My kid told me those research modules they did in sec sch came in handy for this subject, as they would already have been exposed to some kind of research methodology.

Not sure about the overall dist rate but my kid told me majority of his frens scored A. I suspect the % is no diff from other top JC.

School emails for various scholarships are sent throughout the year. Your child should have already received some of them.

There should also be a Career and Scholarships Fair middle of the year (for 2022 cohort, it was held during June vacations).

                      All the best.

I think they are focusing on academic, CCA, competitions, ... at this moment. Things will be better once CCAs stand down in May. πŸ˜„ They will discuss and update each other on scholarships, Unis, ... etc. My DS booked an appointment with HEO after some sharings from his peers.

All the best to your child.

Most of the emails are sent to the entire cohort. While there are some for invited/selected participants (e.g., early admissions/applications, ...), I think these opportunities are still open for application after A-Level results are released (including PSC).

                        All the best.
