Hello,
Any parent knows:
1. If the Year 4 students want to continue their sports CCA in JC, do they need to attend try-out?
2. Will the JC students of sports CCA will be divided into "Competitive" and "recreational" groups if too many students are there for one CCA?
Thanks in advance! -

1. You should ask your boy to find out from his seniors, who are the seniors that continue the same sports cca in jc, to find out more cca-specific details if he intends to continue too.

2. I don't think there will be any case of \"too many students for one Cca\" as all ccas have intake quota. -

Hi Questions for Students of RI or any parent with kids in RI..
Do you find it stressful to study in RI?
I am worried that he will not be able to Cope.
Is it possible to be retained if he cannot pass the year tests/exam? Or how hard is it to do well? Does most RI students go tuition or would whatever that is taught in school suffice for the kid to get above average GPA? How's the support from the School's teachers?
Sorry for the many questions, hope some one can help? 🙏 -
I think it boils down to expectation of both parents and students themselves.
RI accepts students from about 130 primary schools every year or 2/3 of all primary schools in Singapore.
Everyone is likely to be among the best in their primary schools but will be hard to maintain such position in RI.
Hence, right attitude and mentality is critical.
I told my boys to just learn from the best and run their own race.
LKY, Goh Chok Tong and all the current ministers were never head prefects in RI.
That didn’t stop them from becoming leaders.
