Duke-NUS medical school fees is $200k for 4 years. That’s a large sum of money. How to raise money to pay medical school fees?

Yes, whether it is NUS, NTU or DUKE - studying Medicine is a costly course. There are bursary and scholarship available to help those students who required financial support. These financial aids only cover 80 percent of your fees, you have to fork out another 20 percent of the cost to cover for your 4 or 5 years of pocket money for foods, hall lodging, medical accessories, attires, laptop, transportation etc... These are extra cost you have to consider. That's why some parents have to downgrade their house, sort out their financial standing to help support their children through their education. Parents and child have to plan beforehand if really medicine is what they want to pursue or take up other health alliance courses instead.

Bursary can only probably support 10% of the entire fees for Duke-NUS medical school, not forgetting daily expenses. Getting Scholarship is easier said than done. The remaining 90% of the school fees will depend on yourself to pay. This is the more realistic situation.

What’s wrong with the student getting a tuition/bank loan? We used to do that when we were undergrads ourselves. Since when are parents oblige to pay for varsity tuition fees?

What are the university fees for four years of dentistry? Can anyone give me some advice?
