So agree. Can sit, eat & chat for long hours. I guess that’s why Europeans eat late dinners & desserts with drink right into night. 😋

I have been visiting Trinity Church at Payar Lebar every Sunday for the last month. I guess I want to reengage with God, although I have been a \"Christian\", having spent 10 years in St Andrew's. I thoroughly believe in God, just a bit skeptical of Christ as he was a man who died on the cross. So I have never called myself a Christian even though my faith is in the Lord. Then my friend explained that he was also skeptical so he read up and found many instances of literature by non-Christian writers who predicted and documented the life of Christ, some many years before he was born. I was intrigued, so I go to church to find out more.

You might want to do some targeted reading too, as church services have to cater to many different needs and levels of familiarity with Christian doctrine, and so may not answer your specific questions.

Try these: (they are a bit old, but I haven't really kept up with new books)
[Sorry, these are on Amazon, but I don't know how to insert links!]
Tim Keller, The Reason for God: Belief in an Age of Skepticism.
Josh McDowell, Evidence That Demands a Verdict: Historical Evidences for the Christian Faith.
Lee Strobel, The Case for Christ: A Journalist's Personal Investigation of the Evidence for Jesus.
Many churches run \"Alpha courses\" which are designed for people to ask questions - you could get a friend to go with you? -

No need to pay. We have monthly fellowship lunch to bring people together. It started with some individuals sponsoring anonymously, thereafter, we went on cell group sponsorship on rotation as the church grew. In a way, these lunches which are ordered fr various vendors, gave business & the ice cream vendor has been dishing out generous helpings & no limit to the number of rounds till stocks run dry.

I’m warm by yr personal effort to visit Trinity Christian Church @ Paya Lebar to try to re-engage with God that you hv put your faith in the Lord you knew.

I hope you will be rewarded in your heart when you found the answers you’re looking for about who Christ is and how you can hv a personal relationship with, as oppose fr just hearing messages.
As slmkhoo mentioned, look out for The Alpha Course if Trinity runs this course. O’wise, you’re you’re welcome to join Faith Methodist Church @ C’wealth every Thursday fr 7pm.
The Alpha Course was developed by an Anglican church, but has been widely used around the world in almost every denomination.
The Alpha course consists of a series of talks looking at topics such as \"Who is Jesus?\" and \"Why and how do I pray?\". Ask anything. Alpha is a place where no question is too simple or too hostile.\"
Let me know if u need to reach out to a church near you that runs the course or to join an Alpha course. -
Chief has a purpose to go to church…I m feeling paiseh now.
