But she had private coaches not just one coach and she trains 4 times a week.

She just happens to be a student of SOTA.
Letโ€™s recognize multi talented individuals (la)

        +1

SOTA does have students who excel in fields other than Arts. I remember (from the open house last year) that they had a student who got into medical school. While the majority have talents/passion for the Arts, there are also those who do well in other areas ๐Ÿ™‚

Hihi just out of curiosity has anyone successfully entered SOTA as a Year 5 student (DSA-JC)? Or do you know anyone who has? Asking for a friend ๐Ÿ˜„

Please talk to the school directly. Y5 admission is only for some art domain like film making. Not for everyone. From what I understand......

Does anyone know roughly how many kids apply for Literary Arts every year? My DD just applied.

Hey, we are from Germany and my DD applied for LA (Literary arts). On the SOTA website, it said that foreign people need to do an English test and a math test, testing their algebra, fraction, decimals, ratios, etc. Iโ€™m still not sure yet but does anyone have some details for this?

Is hard? Since we live in Europe, the education is a lot less tight, therefor, we are a lot behind after I asked my DD what sheโ€™s learning about at school. If anyone knows info about this, it would be a wonder.
BTW in group activities, will our children be engaging with each other while competing for the spots? Sounds rough.

Are kids grouped according to PSLE score in sec 1?

                    Are classrooms airconditioned?[/quote]

When one enters the VA program, is it for 4 years or 6 years?

All SOTA students go thru a 6 years programme. The only diff is whether itโ€™s a IB programme or a IB career related programme (which will be decided later).
