Fantastic. All the best.
Thanks for your information!
So, we are under different category. Your kid is under Music program, and mine is under String Ensemble. That is why the interview dates are quite different.
My daughter has diploma in Violin & Viola, and G8 for piano, so we apply for string ensemble. -
Any new on leadership from St Nick’s?

She must like music a lot to be proficient in 3 instruments. -

Wow! That's an amazing musicianship level. Which other schools did she apply DSA to?

I suspect the definition of humanities (or humanities subjects) differs for each secondary school. "Humanities," from my days (not in RI), includes music, art, and philosophy.
However RI Y1 Humanities (subjects) are English Literature, Geography, and History. Thus best check with the school officials.
best of luck -

Called them today and they mentioned that they will be sending rejection and interview emails from tomorrow onwards as they only just started shortlisting.
Any new on leadership from St Nick’s? -

Because at the open house, the kids who talked to parents are the ones who are involved in the day to day operations of the clubs. But they are not involved with the DSA selection.
And I think there was only 1 successful candidate last year.
Funny thing is- when I went to the humanities booth during open house during April 2023, they don’t seemed to know much about dsa (or that candidate). (Although they know a lot about their club)
Same could be said about the infocomm booth.
They were so passionate about what they do.
When I asked them about dsa - they also claimed only 1 candidate.
(And goes on telling me that 100s will apply to join their cca during cca week and around 20 will be accepted as cca member)
