Never mind jobs. I hear they can be very good entrepreneurs or content creators. The boring executive functions can delegate to the secretary or personal assistant. 😆

      I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Successful example of ADHD is Elon Musk, very creative and many ideas but cannot control his mouth.

Content creators like social media influencer?
Many teens aspired to be one but not my DD2 lol. She said just one wrong post, the fans/society will condemn, that’s the end of her social media career. Lol. Whereas in an office setting, wrong report or get involved in office politics, can still survive, haha.

No lah. Elon Musk has ASD, not ADHD. That's why he can be very literal and direct, and does not have time for bs. When some Ukrainian official told him to f off because he did not like something Musk said, he f offed together with his Starlink. :rotflmao:

I hear he just painted the W in TWITTER at the front of Twitter HQ the same colour as the background, briefly changed his account to Harry Bolz, and Twitter now auto replies to all media enquiries with a 💩 emoticon.

Content creators like artists, animators, composers, musicians, writers etc. Not necessarily media influencer.

Once, for consultation at 8-9yo. Psychologist asked if she was last in class, I said no. Whether she was disruptive during lessons (walked around classroom or excessive talking), I said no. Psychologist said ADHD without “H” is not easy to diagnose as everyone day dreams, just to what extent.

Academic wise, I think she would be able to achieve more if not for her extremely short attention span. I do not have the energy to sit next to her, like how I did in primary school.
Thanks for sharing. At sec school, think they won't welcome our presence to be sitting around them the whole day 🤷

I guess if the child is still happy and coping relatively well, then yes may not need further assessment. Just have to manage expectations, both for the child and the parents.

Maybe he also has ADHD. He has warned many times on Twitter against Adderall that it is an anger amplifier. Maybe he could have taken that drug himself that's why he is so against it. Wellbutrin as well. Don't know why he is so against adhd meds.

Is ADHD meds a good idea or not so good idea?

ASD is autism spectrum disorder. I am very sure your daughter doesn't have that - her social skills sound fine! Executive function issues are probably more likely, but there are many possible causes. ADHD is one of them, but many learning disabilities can result in exec function issues. It's just a symptom, so you still have to identify the cause.
Hi Slmkhoo, I've tried to PM you but my message has been stuck in my outbox.

Can anyone know of anyone who is ASD-ADHD and has found success with ADHD medication? Please recommend which meds are you using? Thanks!
