Good that you are seeing some positive results from your IF MrsKS.

My approach with IF is not as a short term diet but a long term change in eating habits. Think I started in 2019 and am still sticking to that same eating schedule. I managed to lose about 4kg when I started IF coupled with a low carbo diet. When I reached my desired weight, I eased up on my diet but stuck with the 16/8 schedule and I’ve been able to keep my weight rather constant. I do go off the schedule during holidays and festive seasons or when I am under the weather and have been able to keep the pounds off. The 1st few weeks were tough but once I got used to it, I noticed the benefits, not only the weight loss but I did not have daily headaches and lesser migraines. I have lesser cravings as well, maybe cos I eat better at main meals. I don’t have any issues with 三高so cannot say much about that but I know of quite a few people who say it helped.

I do not think I will be able to sustain a 24-48 hour IF routine and it will end up being a short term attempt and the weight may pile back on eventually.

I think the NTUC Chef brand Kailan packs have shrunken significantly? Used to be 300g previously but today each pack is only 200g? My family can eat 2packs per meal. I think now need to buy 3packs. It is a waste of the packaging plastic.

Even if you decide not to continue with IF, you can try to keep a reasonable length of time between eating, especially overnight. And if you focus on keeping to a healthy diet most of the time, you should be able to keep your weight fairly stable even if you eat 3 meals a day.

I find at least the past years (next few years not sure as metabolic rate may be different). Those sudden stress period I binged and add on.. All along i wanted to lose that amt of weight coz I been maintaining a not very desirable weight. I hope this round can shed it off then maintain that more desirable weight. To shed what we have now needs efforts and determination which I don't have.

Today I walked out dabao rice and coconut drinks for dds..I was telling myself not bad today did some walking exercise. And who knows one dd says she still quite full so gave me more than half of her share.

Prices gone up a bit. Last time we seldom eat frozen meat…now quite a big portion of it are frozen meat. But for chicken I kinda haven’t got used to frozen…not that I m clever at differentiating frozen and fresh but just like that. Anyway I seldom buy chicken nowadays.

Q0010 mear suppliers have promo quite frequently for frozen meat.

Next year another 1% increase…will some sellers take the opportunity to increase more than that?
