We haven't received letter until today so I rang the school to ask for outcome. They were kind enough to let us know. Don't know why the letter has not arrived when we live very near DHS.

This was our first DSA journey. It has been a long one - it was partly fun, but also hard work, and definitely very distracting for the kid from proper studying! Happy that it’s over after a lot of research, prep and anxiety.


My DD received 3 COs, from SOTA, SCGS (PA) and SNGS (Sports).

If any parent applying for DSA in the future would like advice, or would like me to share our experience, I’d be happy to do so in a private message. For now, I’ll leave you with the message that interview prep is extremely important!

CO. I was quite shocked because we didn't have high hopes. More so when no letter came yesterday and today but husband encouraged me to call to have a closure. One of the top dancers in my DD cohort also went for second interview that's why we didn't think she would get it.

So for those who haven't received letters, do call to find out. Good luck!!!

A top musical player fr my DD school who got grade 8 also got rejected by NYGH and DHS but CO fr NJC and SOTA. I also got a shock as to why NY and DHS rejected her as she’s one of the nationals finalist players. But according to the same girl, DHS has rejected Youth Orchestra and top-ranked players before too. Rly wonder how they decide.
