You can certainly approach the school to ask. Whether they are willing to say anything is another issue
Very useful reply. Thank you.
Can submitting additional achievements in the talent area since the application was made help in the conversion from WL to CO? Or can the WL order the school has set not be changed now?
Any idea if we can approach the school to ask where we are in the WL? The school has called all the CO/WL for a session after PSLE. So trying to gather as much data before that as possible.
.
I don't know on your first question. Most likely (my guess only) the WL order has already been set based on a number of considerations and won't be changed.
Best of luck and regards. -
Last year, my nephew was given badminton WL (popular school) Did not convert.

By all accounts, when a CO is given up the space goes to the next kid on the WL, regardless of domain.
On the point about sports WL having higher chance of conversion, I thought it was previously shared that the chance of conversion depends on the rank of WL at which the kids are. So when there's a CO given up, the child who ranks highest will be converted first regardless of the domain. Please enlighten. Is it the WL ranking or the domain ranking?
As for the higher chance of conversion, this is likely a statement that at best applies on average. But it is not inconsistent with the WL conversion being domain agnostic. I would guess that most schools have domains that get priority (want to make sure these needs are met). Which domains probably varies by school.
Sorry if I gave the impression that all sports will convert first. As you've replied, it doesn't always happen. Different sports may have different priorities within a school and even WLs issued within the same domain may have different priorities (based on a number of things). -
Thanks for taking the time to explain. 🙏

I think there’s definitely chances of WL being converted as many received more than 1 CO for IP schools. Hope for the best!

That’s nice to know. In my circle of friends, I haven’t heard of many that receive COs from IP schools.

I know we have parents asking about the conversion rate of WL.. Which we understand differs from sch to sch and cohort to cohort and also where ur child is ranked..
But just out of curiosity.. Anyone here received multiple COs and they already know for sure that they are not accepting a CO for a particular sch and doesn't mind sharing it here.. 😅 -

Those with CO under sports to IP school, can they cope with academics since the entry will be at a different level from the AL requirement by PSLE ? Anyone with older child can share ?
