Actually, come to think of it, if I really liked something, I'm not sure if I would want someone else to buy it for me. For example, I like bags, but I'm not sure if I would like to receive them as gifts. Don't get me wrong, I would thank the person and I will appreciate the thought, and I will try out the bag. But will the gift really satisfy my requirements? :idea:

I'm the same - I generally prefer to choose things for myself. I don't buy clothing or personal items for my husband - he has very specific requirements, and I rather he get them for himself. Neither my husband nor I really appreciate gifts (not our \"love language\"), so we only get gifts if we are sure that the other really wants it. We're happy to just have a meal together for birthdays/anniversary.

Staycation, of course. You will not be investing in a physical thing , plus how would you know what kind of wallets he likes? As for staycations, you are actually creating memories that last forever.
