The likelihood of you being selected for PV is low as you are > 2km from the school.

Even if selected, you won’t stand a chance as Nan Hua ballot for SC < 1km in Phase 2B.
Yes... the only way to get into Nan Hua is by physically moving within 1km. Even then, you may have to ballot.

I am asking for a friend. She is interested in Fairfield Presbyterian Primary.

Question 1. Does she have to be within 1km from the school if she wants to do PV at that school?

Question 2. If she buys a property that will TOP in 2027 that is within 1km from the school, can she use that property address when applying to do PV?

          Thank you/

Hi. It’s Fairfield Methodist Primary (not Presbyterian). Just a small matter.

            1. No she doesn’t have to. I wasnt when I applied approx 8 years ago (I did tell them that I was willing to move if balloting stats indicated I needed to). Was successful in being chosen but then decided to give it up.

            2. Need to check MOE website for the cut off date. See screenshot here:

FairField Methodist Primary is very sought after as it’s a co-ed sch & parents with both b/g can send their kids there together. Not sure abt PV after Covid but the places/selection are also very tight.

A good option wld be to stay within 1km & if holds Affiliation thro the Methodist membership via family of churches. If u’re applying P1 admission for 2023/2024, yr TOP in year 2027 might be too far stretch. You can wanting & with a more current Tenancy Agmt, yr P1 registration might stand a better chance, if it’s not over the number of places.

If I do parent volunteer on year 2024, then i move house to the nearest cluster by year 2025. When year 2026, should I register as parent volunteer within 1km distance or parent volunteer outside 2km?

                      I dont understand your question.

If u want to do PV, then start applying to the schools’ (yes, more than one) PV dept or in-charge directly. They need to accept you first. No accept, no need to think further. Move on to next choice.

Yes... I think the question is unclear.

In any case, part of the consideration that schools may have is your proximity to the school. You may have to move first or secure your address, before applying for PV.
