Worries on kids where got end one. I always believe once given birth we will have to carry that till end of our day. The difference is more or less only … that depends on individual as each of us is different. I m one with more worries…lately through interactions with dd…I realised it pains her to see me worry.

The mothering duties change, but motherhood never ends. Even as the child becomes more independent and makes his or her own decisions, mothers (and fathers) still watch from the sidelines and are concerned about what will happen. In a way, it's even harder as you can see and have opinions, but you have less and less direct influence. That's why it's important to do any teaching and influence long before they leave the nest!
                    Motherhood duties does wind down.

In early childhood years, it’s like doing intensive housemanship, hv to closely watch our wards & guide them in all areas. Once habits & obedience established, our roles change to be their 1st teacher. So, we keep up till they’ve acquired some level of knowledge & independent to apply themselves & their creative juices starts amaze us & we let go more to allow them to soar to young adulthood whilst keeping our eyes ‘in surveillance mode’ 😆

Some parents will want to continue with a tight rein & we’ll see many mummies’ boys around. Some parents chill & apply laissez faire style parenthood w/o breathing down their kids’ necks. So, every parent is different & every family dynamics are different.

Some parents look fwd to fuss over grandkids whilst others prefer to enjoy their hobbies w/o being call upon for grandparents duties. I wld love to enjoy grandkids duties but if not called upon, I’ve enuf interests to keep myself fr dementia.

I won’t want to be involved in decision-making for grandchildren. It’s their parents’ duties & responsibilities which I’ll not overstep. The next generation hv their own new challenges & their times will be different. Will involve only when asked for my 2cents’ opinion.
