Oh my! 2023 is coming close. Year end is always a drag for me. Time to start to declutter and then total housecleaning

Decluttering for me I’ll be stressful this year coz I’ve added so many tools & eqpt towards my multiple hobbies. I hope it’ll be easier after my peak in Christmas period. I’m alr making a mental list to pass on my art to my dearest niece who had taken after most of my hobbies in baking, except for the Wagashi art. Intend to start winding down & live simply w/o rushing ard to bake & cook for everybody else or entertain. Then can go for more completely slow-no, true retirement holidays with DH.

I m lazy and dd2 also lazy to pack her books for nephew. I must do it these 2 weeks, clear food fm freezer as much as possible and do my hair. Long time never go hair salon and I cut my own hair few mths back as it was too long and since then never let go my hair.

I declutter as I go with no fixed schedule. And same for ad hoc cleaning (i.e. not the regular cleaning). I’ve never bothered to specially clean for CNY or the year-end - there’s already so much going on. Besides work and several other commitments in Nov, which is turning out to be unusually busy, my main concern at the moment is getting Christmas presents for my nephew/nieces and the great-nephews/nieces - 14 altogether! I used to get everything on Bookdepository, and now am exploring Amazon and Opentrolley. I don’t bother getting presents for anyone else - I might pick up something for my girls if I see, but I usually just suggest something and ask them to choose for themselves and bill me.

Books: DS received a boxed set of the Maze Runner series (by James Dashner) from our friends last Xmas and he loved reading it. He’s asked me to borrow more books by this author from NLB and i’ve downloaded them into his Kobo for his post-exam reading.

Dd2 broke her Kobo just after a few mths we bought it. Now she revert to reading fm Kindle and her tablet. I will just skip the Kobo replacement as of now.

Not much of gifts giving for at least 2 yrs already. Maybe next year I shall try to pay more attention to our family and my mom's birthdays. My mom asked the other day if I still remember that day was her lunar birthday. I have really forgotten! Yesterday she was sharing a circulating video of old people in old age home..

Yea reading ksp is like a habit nowadays.

2 more months to say bye to 2023. A roller coaster year to us but I m glad that we able to 看开 and everyone is in calmer mood towards end of the year. Next year will be very uncertain but we shall brace it through together.

We have more or less planned for next year cny arrangement.

Think we will talk abt spring cleaning and cookies in Jan24, as usual

A roller coaster year?? We did not experience any riot, war or natural disasters in Singapore this year. :?

This year is an excellent year, I was transferred to a new department and DS has got married and I may even strike toto next week. :evil:
