Hv u get medical advice? S’times might need to get some physical investigations - X-rays or scams to see if there is any underlying problems. Afterall, u’ve been making other efforts to diet, etc. Maybe u might want to relent & do some targeted exercises?
My feet seems problematic. I just bought another pair of shoes A before opening a new pair of shoes B to try on yesterday. I felt some pain at heel after walking with B. Now I need to get another pair shoes same as A but a size bigger and different color to try.
I m trying to get a pair of shoes that is comfy enough after wearing thicker socks and can manage my heel pain. I been walking at least 4km perday not that much compared to those targeting 10/15k per day. Scary to think of the pain I had past 2 years after walking -

I'm not sure who this 'doctor' is, and I think you also have doubts since you use inverted commas. I followed simple stretching which was advised on reputable websites, including the one that this person advised against, and it has worked for me. I can't remember how long ago the pain started, and when I started stretching, but it's been years now.
Didnt do it consistently coz thought it was almost healed. Btw, I read that another youtuber 'doctor' says we shouldn't stretch our feet the opposite way ie pulling the tip of our feet towards our face. So only when I feel the pain when sitting down then I stretch for a little.
I'm not sure there is \"healing\" as such, in that the pain goes away and never comes back. If it's plantar fasciitis, it's due to the tightness of the ligaments and muscles, and I expect that it will keep recurring as long as the activity that caused it continues. Age is another factor. I have found that regular stretching keeps it at bay, and when I've been lazy, it comes back. -
On an unrelated note, have any mommies here gone on HRT?
The western view is that it can be very beneficial for some women, in keeping energies up and all.
Happy to hear experiences. -
Few mths after I had the pain… I went to see a doc and was told it is likely plantar fasciitis…then I stopped… no following up. I googled and it is very likely plantar. My mom has it but she recovered fully after like 2 or 3 years. Mine looks like will take longer. I m kind of looking forward to having same condition as my mom and one day it will go off.

You may wanna drop by KKH website or in-person to find out more (local Asian view?) They have just (this very month) started a Menopause Centre - I saw it on the Ch8 news & got interested (am experiencing unusually heavy periods & was wondering if it’s peri-menopause).

Zac's mum, please take care and rest well. My experience was the period interval was shorten to 22 to 24 days with heavy flow before. It made me so tired and frustrated at that time. Later I went to TCM and the lady doctor said my liver was heated up and couldn't control my blood so my blood released out in the period. After taking some herbs to clear liver heat, the flow became back to normal. You may consult doctor at KK hospital and see what they say first.

I had 2 times this year menses came like just after 2 wks then back to normal. Guess it is an indication of menopausal is near.
Dd has hers almost non stop…like only rest for 1wk came again. Went to see doctor and did blood tests. Doc says likely due to stress. Iron level was ok but can see her face turning pale. Luckily abt 1 or 2 wks before start written exam the bleeding seems to have stopped. Dd2 was having issues with 2 organs for several months, seen doctors, scanning etc… then start psle all symptoms seem disappeared. Didn’t know they can be so stressful. Hope it is really due to stress. -
Wow! MKS, looks like u had a very stressful year! Hope yr family’s health issues hv improved and fully recovered. Health is very impt for our daily function. Eat well & sleep well.
DH’s family hv 2 highs & lately, he’s easily agitated. I told him it’s better he mindfully keep calm and collected. From my observations, when he gets worked up, he can’t make effective decisions, which leads him further frustrations. Somehow, when we get anxious, our mind gets blocked up & that makes it harder to process our thinking. Covid after effects? He chalked it to aging but I told him I’ve no high blood pressure nor high cholesterol & I don’t get to the point of not able to make effective decisions. I guess I shld not speak too soon. Nvr’theless, hope this year-end family holiday helps him unwind & recharge.
