        hi golfer,

any reason why u wish to have private tuition for your kid?
isn’t the kindergarten or preschool classes which he or she is attending sufficient? else maybe some enrichment lessons?
somehow i feel that at this age, it is better to send them to group-based learning… they will enjoy learning better with company of other children… private tuition is too stressful…
however, having said so, each child is different…

        cheers

KeenDaddy, my boy loves his individual lessons and we don't see it as stressful because he enjoys it. He enjoys the attention from the tutor, the activities they do with him which may not be possible in a group setting.

My boy loves his group lessons because he gets to play.
He loves his individual lessons because he gets the teacher's attention.

I think different kids will have different reactions to individual lessons.
Mine is a very active boy who gets bored easily when the teachers in group lessons go too slow. Individual lessons can go at his pace and engage him better. 😄

            hi mrswongtuition,

good that your boy is enjoying his individual lessons; most impt is that the kid be happy and enjoy learning…

yes, each individual kid is different as i find my son is more suitable for a group-based env. the only individual lessons which he has is when he wants to do his jumbo activity books and we do it with him…

does e tutor specialise in teaching pre-schoolers? teaching preschoolers should be different from teaching primary school kids… shouldn’t it?

hmm… your name, r u teaching tuition yourself?

What type of tuition does your K1 boy attend? Phonics and maths?
