Writing letters to pen pals think around during our schooling time. When came out to work everything emails. We are fortunate enough to experience the change. I feel our newer generations base is already there..so any progression to them should be still manageable. Our parents are comfortable with social media, WhatsApp, wechat etc, actually not bad already.

On some matters, sometimes I m still missing those older days processes..like go bank do some banking matters. Now lesser customer service personnel, some branches also closed. You call hoping to talk to real person, sometimes only robot. Tried chat in the online platform..it is robot.

We shall wait for your feedback on the AI course.
MrsKiasu, actually I am a robot by advance AI and all this while talking to you via online.

I do mostly online purchase nowadays. Yesterday I went to store to collect my shoes after online purchase. Due to my earlier online order cancelled by them I was given 20% voucher for store purchase so I got to go physical store. Sizes not correct for online purchase can be returned. Very convenient.

On way home just now I dropped by ntuc to buy sesame oil because I m controlling my Redmart purchase as will get cashback but we going holiday soon. If not I will buy it online too.

Recently I m chking on Uniqlo app just for browsing. Never do their online purchase yet coz convenient to walk to Uniqlos.

Shopee, Lazada and Q0010..I feel more secure as been using them for quite awhile.
I dare not buy shoes online unless it's a repeat model and I know exactly how it fits. I haven't done returns, but it seems like too much trouble, and what if the replacement size is also not right? So I only buy shoes in person. I sometimes buy clothes online, but only those where the fitting is more relaxed. Recently, I saw a batik loose-fitting cheongsam-style dress on Carousell which I really liked, and the measurements seemed right, and it fits fine. My younger daughter and I have bought quite a few items (other stuff as well as clothes) on Carousell over the past couple of years - we like to support the \"circular economy\" and save money when we can. We also buy on Lazada, and my recent book purchases were on Amazon and Opentrolley. And of course, Fairprice on a regular basis!

My correction…shoes returned can be for refund. If not then we can arrange to go to outlets for exchange. So far I only buy from 1 shop. I buy those already ‘outdated’ older stocks…cheaper and with quality. The leather can stand the time but the glue I m not sure haha.

I only buy engineered/manufactured stuff (eg. phones, detergent, cereal) online. I never buy groceries like fruits and vegetables or meat because you KNOW they will always be giving you their oldest stock.

When I go to the grocery, I always dig out the items at the back of the shelves because they always place the oldest ones in front. I could pick and inspect each fruit for defects.

                    Very ngiao hor? 😂

Fruits I dont buy coz I would like to choose and don't like then get bruised. Actually so far the veg from Redmart is very good. They packed in plastic bags separately.

Frozen meat so far ok expiry date is long enough. Fresh meat fm Redmart will always at least 3days including of delivery.

I thought only middle-aged aunties did that? I do that only if I'm buying in advance and intend them to last for a while. For things that I'm going to eat fairly soon, or that I will freeze, I will take the ones in front - otherwise they might get thrown away and that contributes to food waste!

I do inspect fresh produce for defects - my opinion is that shops should discount produce with defects. And I do buy the discount packs of less-than-perfect fruits if they aren't too bad.
