Your child in RI year 5 from O level was awarded ESIS edusave scholarship too correct? L1R5 of Raw 8 is eligible for those who entered independent schools. So a third thru O level of RI year 5 cohort is 400. All entered by L1R5 will be eligible correct?
Those students in RI science stream yes. May not be for those students in art stream. COP is 5 for Art. A 9 pointer - 4 bonus point OK for Art but not ESIS. For HCI art also 5 COP. A 11 pointer , minus 4 bonus point and minus 2 more bonus point for taking up Chinese elective, ok for HCI art too but not ESIS.

My child chose science although my preference is art for him or at least hybrid. He happy can already. His life. Not a 12 yo any more

Will we be expecting more movements in class then? I understand students in class may already have different subjects/electives.

            The details are here:
            https://www.moe.gov.sg/post-secondary/admissions/jae/junior-colleges-and-millennia-institute

there are JC Malay and Tamil language electives too for 2 more bonus point for many other popular JCs.

In this cases not all RI science stream students will
be given ESIS, because of the availability of language elective program in RI too (I overlooked this earlier): a 10 pointer minus 4 bonus point and minus additional 2 language elective bonus point ok for science stream ( COP 4) but not ESIS.

Ic, forgot abt the art stream cop is 5. But i read that very few slots are at RI cop. So it is quite safe to assume most get 4 or lower. Top 5% O level students who entered IS will be awarded, was told it refers to raw score of 8 regardless of bonus points. Correct me if I am wrong.
Wonder these numbers for O level students are more than those esis awardees from PSLE.

Haha, after today’s open house visit, I guess no matter what my gal’s result will be, 99.9% she will pick Anderson secondary as her top choice …
