There are days when even at 7am, the sky is still dim unlike these few days when the sky is bright by 7am.
I was curious about this the other day...

DH also mentioned that he noticed the sun seems to rise earlier than usual by 10-15mins for the past two months.
Another bright day and I feel that the sun rises very early nowadays.
Yesterday morning when I went to the toilet, it was already very bright outside, seemed like 7am+. Gave me a shock because I thought we all overslept. DD1 was supposed to reach sch by 7.30am for her A level exam. I quickly went to look at the clock, it was only 6.40am (5mins before my alarm clock was supposed to go off) -

Yes, when I see the sky so bright, I thought quite \"late\" only to realise it is just 7am+.

So am not alone to feel it.
Anyway, I like long days and the brightness of the sky cheers me ... -

Sounds strange - probably due to cloud and haze effects earlier in the year. Technically (disregarding the effects of clouds, rain, haze, etc), the longest day of the year (earliest sunrise and latest sunset) is 20/21 June, and the shortest day is 20/21Dec. The days when the daylight and night hours are equal are 20/21 March and 20/21 Sep. So from mid-June to mid-Dec, the days should be getting gradually shorter!

I've been cooking ahead too - cooked on Monday for Tuesday (on course), and pre-cooked 3 portions of meat for quick meals during the rest of the week. I usually do pre-cooking a couple of times a week so I have less to do when I get back from the office (twice a week). This weekend is just unusually busy because of this big dinner tonight and SWF going on. Normally my Sat and Sun afternoons are quite leisurely. SWF will still be on next weekend, and we are also organising a potluck tea for the units on our floor next Sunday.
haha slmkhoo, i prepared the ingredients for today's lunch and dinner too.
Thereafter can relax in front of my laptop
For me, Dec is coming and time to review this and that, including my finances and insurance plans.
Luckily, my husband handles all the finances. And he also advises our girls and his clients - definitely not something I would want to do. My \"contribution\" to our finances at the moment is submitting the travel insurance claims for our cancelled trip. After looking at the figures, we will have lost $400+ each after the insurance pays out. And I've been doing a lot of online shopping (mentioned in an earlier post). So next year's vacation will have to be shorter and cheaper! -
Now that back to normal. Nov/Dec is usually family time. Hiking today. Next week will be planning for around a 4 nights trip.
