Thanks chief. My only worry is child couldn't handle disappointment well. Both dh and I kept bringing her to think of the more possible outcome scenario.
Actually all of us including our kids have to learn how to handle disappointment because everyone will encounter it in life.

We ourselves need to be aware of our body and symptoms as well. Insist on further and comprehensive tests if symptoms persist. Doctors, especially those in public health care are caught in a situation where they have to balance investigative procedures and cost for patients and may resist sending patients for more tests if they are unsure. That was our experience with my dad. They kept diagnosing him with gastric issues, reflux, wear and tear of his esophagus due to age that is why he keeps getting feelings of heart burn and tightness in his chest. Only when my dad insisted on further tests especially for the heart and told the doctors cost is not an issue for him, then they referred him to a specialist. That was when they found out that all his major arteries were more than 75% blocked. They did an immediate stent as a temporary measure while they scheduled all sorts of tests for him leading to a triple bypass. I also feel that not having the same doctor attending to him each time he visits the hospital or clinic also hindered the diagnosis or the decision for further tests. In my dad's case, he knows that heart issues can present itself like gastric issues or heartburn and he also knows that what he was feeling was not the usual gastric discomfort and he dared to challenge the doctor's diagnosis. I will say many of us will differ to the doctor's opinion especially when the diagnosis is something 'benign', they are the professionals afterall. We tend to challenge only if the diagnosis is something bad.
Yea, for some like DH, will pursue for a better informed solution. He kept proding me to get 2nd opinion, etc. Not everyone is sensitive to our body responses/prompting. I rmbr an ex-boss amazes me that she can feel exactly when her eggs are released fr her fallopian! 😯😳 I kept kicking myself for some years down but eventually I didn’t bother myself over it as life goes on.

Situation at our end is abit off balance now. So can only focus on planning for next week’s trip. Yesterday managed to get another hotel accom. and cancelled the one booked the day before. Supposed to do a piece of work, not much work just that cannot really focus on starting it.

Luckily your dad knew it could be something more than that and found out the root cause. 75% blockage ..is life saving.

Esteema also same gastric, gassy, burping issues?

I have frequent burping issues too. 1x Colonscopy + 2 stomachscopy, everything seems alright. Maybe I shall take note on arteries blockage.

You going for holiday somewhere? I'm stuck in Singapore as my school term is from September till mid February every year. Been like that for over 30 years so I'm used to it. Anyway, going for holiday off season is more relaxing and laid-back (or is it my jealousy speaking? :scratchhead: )

Actually going overseas during school holiday is very expensive as the air - tickets and accommodation cost will be raising and there are more crowdy at the tourist attractions. 😓

Feb is still good weather for either winter countries or tropical.
I still stuck in Dec sch holidays … so I wish I can go in jan / Feb / march to winter places as cheaper compared to yr end sch holidays n snow is good for winter activities too, deep enough.
