Our body has many individual items to check.
Yap. More so as we age. When young we’re not aware how to eat healthy & exercise or rather we get caught up with life & only restart when age caught up. Hopefully, for some of us it’s not too late to motivate ourselves.

Feb is still good weather for either winter countries or tropical.
I still stuck in Dec sch holidays … so I wish I can go in jan / Feb / march to winter places as cheaper compared to yr end sch holidays n snow is good for winter activities too, deep enough.
Yes, i recall my honeymoon we purposely chose off-peak (late Jan, not cny) to go Tokyo to experience snow (DH had never seen snow b4 that). Disneyland & Disneysea are amazing when snowing. And we also took a day trip to Gala Yuzawa for ski lessons. No crowd & so very pleasant.

When kid go to NS, we will be free to go for long couple trip again :boogie:

...This girl cried for abt 2mins after gotten her results and after that as chirpy as ever kept making us laugh.. both dh & I kept telling her that we are very happy actually.
Hope she will be happy at whichever school she gets into. Her attitude will determine that more than anything else.

Thanks slmkhoo. I hope she could get over it fast. Also hope she could learn that to achieve something that one desires, one must put in an appropriate amount of efforts. We know how much she put in. We were at juncture more than 1 time..to let go or hold on to their hands. Finally we decided to let go for both of them as that's what they want..and be prepared of whatever outcomes that may come. Generally there are 2 outcomes..cut off at 8..missed it, it won't matter much.. But I am feeling very relieved. She will be in a familiar environment. Though she told me there is no way she will not meet the minimum. I was still feeling a little anxious looking at the health situations. Think we can consider it as all goes well.

Zac's mom..very weird. After exam no more complaints :? Let's see how it goes next year. We have some follow up appointments next year. Some symptoms after scan unable to point on the real cause..but somehow need to follow up on another issue as detected fm the scan.

Some of these issues can be due to stress. Check with her if there are really no more issues, then maybe postpone the appointments for a while and see? I find that many doctors like to recommend more and more checks for every little thing, \"just in case\". Up to you what you feel about that, and you can always refuse - there's no need to do everything the doctor suggests. Too many checks can in themselves cause stress.

Perhaps you can talk to her about next year - now may be too soon, but at some point before the next year begins. You can encourage her to look forward to learning and determine put in consistent effort, which includes setting a reasonable schedule and keeping to it, cutting back on time wasters and distractions, etc. The details will need to wait till timetables and CCAs are firm, but it's good to get her to think about these things ahead of time. Poor time management can also cause stress.

And while you want to let go more at this age, kids are still kids - they need reminders and someone to keep them on track till the habits are well-formed. You could help her put her schedule on the wall, get her to write down the rules and limits she has decided on, etc. Once the habits are well-ingrained, and she finds that she is coping well with her schoolwork and still has time for other activities, she may feel less stressed.

I remembered going to Korea (early September? I don't remember) and they were trying to make snow and blow it onto the slopes 🙂 It was a sad affair.

Yeah... things are cheaper in February. Maybe I should go somewhere next year... But dunno where to go.

I remembered when the PSLE results were released, there was much coverage in the papers.

I hardly see any such news during the past few days.
Anyway, I am totally clueless on the new PSLE grading system.
I hope mums and dads with PSLE kids can get into the sch they aimed for.

PSLE is just one of the milestones in education. The result doesnt define the whole life but does give some help in the education path.

That's great! You have a very resilient kid there, @MrsKiasu.

Where are you going for your holidays?
