\"The PSLE Qualifying Aggregate Score for 2024 ESIS Secondary 1 intake is 5. Singaporean students who meet the criteria and are admitted into an Independent School will be awarded ESIS. Like previous years, eligible students will receive an Eligibility Letter when they collect their PSLE results.\"
May I know if the cut off point for ESIS is AL5, does it mean all SC w AL5 will be eligible? Or the top one third who qualify for IS will strictly narrow down to the last single one who falls within top one-third according to your raw total marks?
Just wondering if any AL5 SC who didn't get ESIS? -
Hi all
I'm totally new here. In fact quite lost
My ds got AL21. Our hope is that he can get into a boy school. He is given G2 and G3 option. We have discussed and feel that G2 will be less challenging for him.
Our choices are as below
1. St Andrew's (21 - 22)
2. ACS Barker (21 - 21)
3. St Gabriel's (22 - 24)
4. Xinmin Sec (21 - 23)
5. Montfort Sec (22 - 25)
6. No idea what to choose
Hope can get some advise from this 🙏
Any kind souls can help... really need some advice.... -
Hi, what’s the chances of getting into River Valley High School and Dunman High with AL8M. Risky? Need to ballot? Any kind soul can enlighten me.

Hi blackyv.... Thanks for your opinions
Both also good, really depends on which school your son like more imo..example DHS is sap which my gal will not like but student with strong Chinese language will like. -
Hi, would like to hear some advice cos we are in a dilemma if we should put RV (cop 9M) as first choice cos it’s near our place. But my girl has a AL9 without higher mother tongue. Seems very risky. Our second choice is Nan Hua High (cop 11).

There is no risk here. You may simply go to your second choice.

My friends DD was in similar situation. Didn't get RV as she didn't take HCL. She went to second choice. -

Is the psle aggrgate AL score of 5 the same as previous year for ESIS?

Dear Parents!
I am hoping for your advice. My daughter has a score of 6D and her dream school is RGS. However, we had advised her (after reading the posts here) that she would be subjected to balloting for a spot.
Her current choices for submission of schools:
1) RGS
2) NYG
3) NJC
4) SCGC IP
5) Cedar IP
6) RVH
2nd,3rd and 4th was based on proximity. As a parent, I felt that she should place NYG as her first choice and had explained to her the practicality of attending a school closest to home. She understood but decided to still give RGS a shot.
Hence, I’d like to seek some advice from Parents on the odds of getting into NYG with her score because from reading the discussions from 2019 onwards, it seemed that her chances of getting into RGS is extremely low with a 6. Most importantly, I felt that I should try to gather as much information as possible in guiding her in choosing a school.
Thank you!!!
p.s. she had attended open houses for school 1 to 4 and.
