      Hi ,
as in your child trialed the creative writing for both Agrader and TAS? Or is the overall english program?

im planning to trial on both as well. Agrader is much more convenient and pocket friendly for us. my child is p3 and currently in TWC, but after 3 classes i feel that the teachers are providing the answers and not really teaching them the technique.
      Just my 2c...
      - Find what is the best value for money for you and your child. Most importantly is to have our children enjoy their learning in the process and gain insights into their own learning styles.
      - Make good use of the trials to see if your child has some chemistry with the teacher. The teacher-student relationship makes a BIG difference over time.
      - Check in with the teacher if you feel that your child can gain more from a lesson. Languages take time to pick up too, so don't be too quick to pull your child out of a programme just because there aren't \"results\".
      - If you're planning to go TAS, I recommend the creative writing programme if you want to drill writing weekly or already have a separate tuition covering paper 2. If not the overall english programme covers everything.

      Atb in your search!

                  Hello everyone,

I’ve recently enrolled my son in Primary 1 English enrichment classes at TLL, and I’m also exploring other options by taking trial classes at W@W, LCentral, British Council, and Julia Gabriel.
As I compare fees, I notice that TLL is more expensive than the other centers. I’m curious to understand the justification for the higher cost.

To give some background, my son has been attending math and Chinese enrichment classes, and despite we being a non-Chinese family, he has been doing exceptionally well in Chinese and in Maths he is a few classes ahead. We want to replicate this success in English.

My goals for his English enrichment are:

                  1) To become highly proficient in English, recognizing its importance as a business communication language.
                  2) To excel in academics according to the Singapore curriculum.

I believe, for language we always need to start early. I cannot guide him consistently myself because of time constraint.

If TLL provides exceptional value and superior quality compared to other centers, I’m ok.
English is so important that I am ok to invest a second enrichment for writing, speech & drama etc. But it needs to add value.

I’d appreciate insights from experienced parents or educators to help me make an informed decision. Thank you!

                    ...
I've recently enrolled my son in Primary 1 English enrichment classes at TLL, and I'm also exploring other options by taking trial classes at W@W, LCentral, British Council, and Julia Gabriel.

Those centers you mentioned have been around for a long time and would have established a curriculum for each level they teach. That makes them more resistant to stark changes should teachers leave, which regularly happens in this area of child education. The pricing that a centre offers depend on the amount of advertising they depend on, and the amount they remunerate the teachers. For TLL, as they are specialists in the Primary school English programme, what they charge is expectedly premium.

For us as customers, the question is, what should we pay? When is too much, too much? I believe it all depends on our expectations and the actual results we get. We don't really care about the money if our kids do get the result we hoped for.

For me, the question is: Is P1 too young for us to invest in a premium programme? If you can afford it, by all means do it. If not, any of the other enrichment programmes should be fine.

Thank you so much for your response! I firmly believe that language learning should start as early as possible. I want to ensure that my child is receiving a unique and valuable education that sets them apart from what other centers offer. I want him to do well in exams. But my goal is for my child to develop a deep understanding of English that goes beyond just achieving good grades. I'm eager to know if this program can help him develop this kind of mastery and appreciation for English.
