Oh dear. Was it only 1 email address that you sent to? If so, it cannot be that it was the wrong email address you used. Probably a bunch of people was managing that email address, and no one knows who is taking care of what customer 😂

Stuff in Decathlon is not really that cheap and you need to keep your eyes peeled for real goodies. I just went to Decathlon to buy some long sleeve UV shirts and decided to just buy a pair of \"leggings\" for the arms instead. Much cheaper than getting long sleeves. :imcool:

They only supply one email address on their website. And it's the same one the \"team member\" eventually contacted me on. Go figure!

So far, we've been happy with Decathlon stuff. My husband and kids have bought shoes, sandals, sports clothing, and I got wrist weights. No problems with anything thus far. But this is the first time we've had anything delivered and assembled by them.

Update: Someone called me and I have a date for someone to come and deal with the issues - but on 13 Dec! That’s nearly a whole month since the bike was delivered and assembled, and nearly a whole month since my first (lost) email to them! Of course they promise to give me an earlier date if a slot becomes available…

What shocked me was that he, supposedly a supervisor of some sort, was not briefed on the matter. He says he was just told by one of his team that I should be an urgent case but not why I was complaining. And he didn’t seem interested either - just wanted to get me off his back. I sent him copies of my past emails and insisted that he should read them, investigate and let me know what went wrong, but I’m not going to hold my breath.

Sometimes I feel that’s it’s pity that I don’t have a big social media presence - that could be something to threaten them with.

I recall that you bought a stationary bike. Is that the one having problems now? They have a pretty big area selling normal bikes in the Kallang Decathlon site and I wonder how people would buy them. Will they get delivered or do people have to ride them home?

I expect there will be delivery, though no idea if that will incur extra cost. Online, there's free delivery for purchases over a certain amount, so may that also applies for in-store purchases.

Yes, that's the exercise bike which was delivered on 16 Nov, which I have not been able to use yet. They've offered me an earlier date now - 8 Dec.

On their website, there is only one email address provided. And that's the same one on which the \"team member\" did ultimately get in touch with me. Think for yourself!

We've been pleased with Decathlon products thus far. Along with shoes, sandals, sports apparel, and wrist weights, my spouse and children also purchased me some. Nothing has been problematic thus far. However, this is the first time they have delivered and put anything together for us.

This is almost word for word something I posted earlier in the thread. Who is this person?

To close this topic: someone came to fix the exercise bike on 8 Dec as arranged. Took him all of 5 mins to remove the item which the person who assembled the bike forgot. He also explained that my emails had gone into some "do not reply" folder, which is why they had got "lost". Anyway, it works now.

Likely to be an AI bot.

Anyway, glad your issue has been solved!

Strange that the first installer did not do a basic test run on the bike before he left.
