I think you have family holiday at least twice this year? I don't have alot more activities this year but feel the year still pass quite quickly.

Drove in to JB last night. I observed from historical charts that Thursday nights were supposed to be off peak after 9pm. On average it takes around 30-40 mins to cross the Causeway. But last night at 9pm, the Beat the Jam app showed 224 mins of waiting time! We got a shock and delayed setting off till midnight. Luckily we took only 60 mins to clear both checkpoints.

Not sure why, wonder if it could be due to the sudden announcement of closure of bus lane and e-gate at JB customs from 15th Dec onwards? Which could have resulted in travellers rushing in on 14th Dec?

60mins total to clear both sides is fast to me. We haven’t been to JB yet. Hope can go in soon.

My friend strongly recommends me to try out this Mid-valley Southkey.

Newly built St Giles’s Hotel which is connected to the shopping mall is fully booked. So I have to stay at Opero which is just next door. Consolation is, heard the breakfast as Opero is better than St Giles.

Only 5-10 mins drive from Causeway. You can try to come in after 10pm to beat the jam.
