      Hi parents,
I’m new and would like to get some advice:
My child was born in 2020, and due to P1 registration in 2026 for P1 in 2027.
I applied for RC volunteers and just got replied to join their meeting next week.
Am I in time to be qualified for phase 2B?
My understanding is once you just join the RC volunteers, you are an observer status which does not classified as a grassroots leader. Some observers took 6-12 months to become an executive member (grassroots leaders). You need to be an executive member in order to be eligible for pri 1 phase 2B registration. Do call the people association for a confirm answer if as an observer is eligible for phase 2B Registration.

We received a hardcopy of the letter from PA staff. You can check with PA staff or secretary for the end to end process. Different zone may have slight different in process.

If I am GRL at the EAST now, but we are moving to the WEST (BTO).

Can I still applying using BTO address + GRL to apply in Phase 2B? Thanks.

Usually around when we will need to get the letter from the RN / CC ?

            Thanks!

If the BTO is ready and you are moved in before the start of P1 Registration this year, then you should use that address.

it is a straight forward matter

once move in - change NRIC address at a police station
(PA side will be updated automatically within 2-3 days.
The police station will issue a memo to you - indicating which agencies gets the updated address automatically)

letter out around May (other members here, kindly confirm)

                i.e.
make sure PA gets your updated address before the issuance of the 2B letter.

Hi parents, I’m currently a GRL in a RN and will be registering for P1 in 2026.

What is the procedure if we were to move to another place (not in the same GRC) before 2026?
Do I still continue to volunteer in the current RN and the letter will be issued under our new address?

Yes, you will have phase 2B priority for schools at your new address only.

So I'll need to be an active GRL for 2years from now till 2026.
But if I were to move in 2024, or 2025. I will still volunteer in the RN? and still be able to obtain the letter?
Or I will need to transfer to another centre at my new place. If yes, will the 2 continuous year be disrupted?

                      Thanks

The question is: will it be inconvenient for you to travel to your current RN if you moved in 2024-25?
If no, then I would think it is safer to stay put at the current RN as I don't know if your time of service before 2024 will be recognised by the new RN. Why don't you check with your current leader, and verify with the new RN leader?
