Well, if you want to learn Python for free, you can sign up with this website: https://www.py4e.com. Run and manage by an educator, it's free and should cover around the same depth as your daughter's course. I suspect her course will introduce at least the NumPy library and she will be able to do some statistical analysis (future homework in stats be done in 15 mins 😂 ).
Thanks, but no Python for me! My daughter is like me numerically - i.e. we don't like them! The opportunity arose, and since it's free and she isn't working, we told her no harm trying. At worst, she can be sure it's not her thing; but there is a (maybe small) chance she might take to it.

Thanks Floppy for recommending this website: https://www.py4e.com but I note it needs to log in via google accounts - is this safe?

The array of SkillsFuture courses can definitely be overwhelming, especially when you're trying to find the one that'll give you the most bang for your buck and time.

I recently took a course that was not only super informative but also hrd corp claimable. If you're looking for quality courses, you might want to check out https://trainingasia.com.my/. They offer a wide range of programs across various domains like leadership, communication, and technical skills. The best part? Many of their courses are hrd corp claimable, so you're not just gaining knowledge; you're also getting great value.

Reviving this thread! Starting this off with star's post from the Budget thread:

am looking for something simple, easy, no need to think too much, maybe one-off or at most twice to complete course/training, preferably conducted nearby or western Spore during wkend. Am sure there will be something to learn or takeaway. Even a one-day outing is beneficial, if there is one

It is time to seriously think how to utilise this $$.

Some have an expiry, some are for life.

Oh thanks! So only $500 are for life, while the rest expires in 2025. Hmm... wonder what kind of skills I want to pick up now... I think my sister went for some baking courses but I don't think I would like it. Is there a list which I can look at to choose?
