Malaysia to halt chicken exports and abolish import permits for wheat

      https://www.straitstimes.com/asia/se-asia/malaysia-to-halt-chicken-exports-and-abolish-import-permits-for-wheat

More expensive for chicken and eggs ???
      https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/kl-halt-on-chicken-exports-spore-importers-to-increase-supply-from-alternative-sources-says-sfa

Use alternative sources. Actually frozen chicken is okay too.

          Agreed :imanangel: :imanangel: :imanangel:

          Just something to take note.
Once you retired, you cannot get new loan, cannot get new credit, cannot do much.
I retired in my 40sss… Do everything (apply) before you retired and lost all your credit.
Then just manage and enjoy retirement….

I don't know JB well enough to want to retire there, even if it's cheaper. My activities, church, parents, kids, friends etc are here in Singapore. So far, I can live within my means comfortably in Singapore, and I have no inclination to move in order to upgrade my lifestyle.

One sis-in-law and her husband bought a place in JB for retirement. They hardly spent any time there, then her married daughter, working in Singapore, got pregnant. Once the baby was born, the grandparents had to move back to Singapore to help with the baby, then the next 2 babies. Then there was Covid. I don't know if they've sold the house, but they are certainly not living there now.

Retirement is an acknowledgement of the inevitable. I want to feel young forever. The husband of one of the patients in the hospital I visit twice every week is 85. And yet he is extremely fit and visits his invalid wife every day! I think he walks just as fast as me 😂, and takes the train to Changi Airport every day to walk and \"enjoy the aircon\". He is my role model!
