for those whose kids went for the NUSH selection test yesterday, how did your kids find the test? my son told me the maths section was tough and he didn't know how to do most of the questions. he said they were things he hadn't been taught 😞 but he said the science section was quite okay. gosh, was disappointed to hear that but what to do, putting my hopes on NJC now , the test will be in 2 wks time.....

Really! The math section was quite okay, though some I had done before in olympiad trainings. 😄 Out of the questions I left 2 blank. 😢 The Science was fine too, but for a question or two, I had second thoughts. On the whole I found it quite surprising that NUS high DSA test would not have some really tricky questions, in a sense. Most of my friends were preparing for the worst as well but were astounded. 😐

Just my 2 cents worth. Wish your son and all other NUS High applicants luck :celebrate:

                mathsparks:
The Risa science talent camp is not part of the dsa process. it is organized by ri and moe ge branch for top science talents Fr the various ge schools.  my boy attended last year's which was shortened to 1 day due to h1n1.  it was during the camp that he realized he prefers ri to nush.

good luck to all taking the nush selection test tomorrow.
Hi Mathsparks, is this Risa science talent camp that your boy attended meant for P5 or P6? Thanks!
