Just came back from buying things at Venus at Clementi - spent $30 of my CDC vouchers on pads, toothpaste, shampoo etc. I guess as long as they are in an HDB shop space (as opposed to shopping malls), they can register to accept CDC vouchers.

Also replaced my electric kettle which malfunctioned yesterday - but that was inside a mall.

I did not verify yet, but I suspect the Bata outlets at TPY and Clementi hdb could also accept the cdc vouchers. Useful if fellow parents need to buy replacement school shoes.

The government sets the criteria for what counts as \"climate-friendly\", mostly based on the \"tick\" system already in place. What I find more restrictive is the limitation to the named stores (though many are large chains).

Anyway, it's a gift, and I don't look gift horses in the mouth. My husband and I are already considering which items we might need to replace in the next couple of years! And one of my daughters will need to buy quite a few items - just buying a fridge will wipe out her $300.
